This one have been underway for quite som time ! But now i think i can call it done: The F4U-1 Corsair. This particular aircraft was flown by Ira Kepford, which by the end of Word war II was credited with 16 aerial victories. One look at the cowling it´s not had to tell, that Kepford was a part of the famous Jolly Rogers, which by then was designated VF-17.
I have tried to capture the aircraft with plenty of weathering, to make it look like it have seen plenty of combat. I hoep you like this profile, which in fact is my very first WW II illustration ever !. Below is a few detail shots of the profile.
